I love Moon Unit !! Every time someone asks me, how long till we get there ? I answer, ... One Moon Unit !!
I had a band in Queensland called "The Units" , just a practice band , and not inspired by Frank !

I still like my imaginary friend who called his daughter Ophelia. Trouble was, his surname was Dick !! ha ha !

I got Kara form 2 places really. The name of my hairdresser back in the 80s and also the name of a model I saw in my first girly mag when I was trying to kid myself I was 100% straight.

Thomson. Well in a way it's similar in reason to Beckie's reason. Thompson (the surname of my first real love) was taken when I went to set up an email account, but I also really fancied the girl from the Thomson Directory ad - the one dressed in the blue leather cat suit.

    Think it's me to a 'T' now!

Helena - I wanted to be Helen, but already taken, so I added an "a". Sounds classically Roman.
Wade - first surname I thought of, means nothing.

It is interesting how our names become who we are and, over time, wrap themselves around us.

I will never regret calling myself nickyminiskirt, eventhough it was a spur of the moment thing when faced with a blank TINT box requesting a name....

How long ago was that ? I can't remember ...
I am now my self and I am happy with myself and my name.

Nickyminiskirt was created in the year Zero and lives now, in the year 2011 !

    well heres a story I tell ............
I chose the name Zoe about 7 years ago when i joined my first tg wed site .
the reason being it was the the last letter in the alphabet ....the name went well for many years ...then i join another site annd got hassle of some so i changed my name too Anushka Noosh ..I changed my pictures everything to look different .Thats kinda when the babooshka thing kicked in ! As well as being a great song by Kate Bush ....I always wanted to be called Zoe again and thats when Zoe Babooshka was kinda born i spose ........And yes im completely bonkers x

I tried to go for something a little bit different from the norm seeing I saw lots of Clare's (which is also my wifes name), Lucy's, Mandy's etc. The surname boringly enough is my surname anyway as I didn't see a reason why I should dissociate myself from who I am.

I've always admired Chrissy Hynde and its a simple cute diminutive of my birth name and I'm happy with it, the Aitch is simple the first letter of my surname.

Always liked the name Dawn and Donna. Nothing to do with my own name, not even close. Dated a couple of gals back in the day, Dawn and Donna. Liked them, mimicked them, took the best parts and came up with Dawna. Who knew?
