well girls i find a boots No. 2 stick concealer does for hiding most and a neutral powder from super drug, being fair skinned i find it fine with me, and if i have any problems i do have 2 daughters and a partner who used to work for max factor, so it is easy for me, love collette XXX.

But what is best foundation or concealer that doesnt come of when you touch your face on someone's clothes or your own, its embarrassing when the foundation powder is on someone's shoulder because they have given you a hug, creams can sometimes not dry out and your hair or wig etc gets stuck to it, so i leave this one with you xx

Revlon used to advertise a range of make up that didnt come off....i did some looking round and found this U Tube tutorial on applying make up for skin with acne (rather akin to what we girls have to do for covering beard shadow)

If you look at some of the comments underneath Samantha there are some recommendations for long stay non smudge make up

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC3dq7yyHyQ

I also enclose link to Boots site - over 80 comments on the Revlon product - which is useful for UK girls.

I think I am relatively lucky, no acne and not much of beard shadow as I dont have to shave everyday, it can take me a week to get stubble, it must be something in the fmily genes, as alot the family are like that, I will shave with electric razor then go over with a wet shave to take any hairs that the electric has missed and to get that real smooth feeling, I only use the foundation to give a bit off contrast to my skin and then to apply the blusher, eye shadow, lipstick etc.
thanks for the info Pauline xxx

first tried with makeup alone after having looked on several sites - not really a success. Real pleasure was after thrid professional makeover.
Felt I always looked fairly good, but aftert the makeovers done by an "expert" no longer fears when gong out

Hey! just found a fabulous tip for removing waterproof mascara and eyeliner!! I have tried so many different brands and makes of eyemakeup remover I've lost count and sepnt millions of pounds! non really work that well if at all and I always wake-up with vestigal panda eyes! .......UNTIL NOW! ...........the first makeup tip to really work. Get some good quality virgin olive oil and gently soak a little onto cotton pads then leave on the eye for ten or more seconds then gently wipe, being careful to do it gently so as to not remove eyelashes..... do this a few times for each eye and you remove all the make up and your skin is soft and flexible with the olive oil, then gently wash the face with a gentle cleanser! it really really works!

Thanks Andrea....sounds simple and cheap and easy. I like it.
After you have done all that, to pamper your eyes with a simple solution - put cold tea bags ( have to be from camomile tea) on your eyelids and lie down for about 10minutes.

Moisturisers....if you dont use them (even in drab mode) you should. They keep your skin supple and act as a base for beard cover and foundation. At this time of the year dry skin can be a problem too

Check out the Guardian Lady's take on which are the best to use
