What an inspiration. You have such a talent for expressing what many of us feel. We are people with split personalities, and I certainly find I am a different person when dressed - more understanding, kind, affectionate, loving and tender. Different to my male persona.
I "came out" to a female friend of 40 years standing the other week. It took courage on my part, but I felt I needed to tell someone, and Dorothy was wonderful. She immediately took to Helen, helped with make up, and talked to me for hours trying to understand my other persona. She loves me as Helen, and is really affectionate with me.
Thank you, dear.

Just think what it was like with two fashion conscious daughters in the house! Not just one significant other half to sympathise with but three. And yes we may not be able to experience child birth but we will be there and at least empathise. One male colleague once commented about me "You know far too much about too many women's things". Looking back I'll take that as a complement.
BTW you missed the bit about clothes being more than red, blue, green or brown; coming in colours such as crimson, rose, hot pink, .....
Loved the blog. Keep it up.

It's a really lovely blog, funny and painfully sharp at times too. I went shopping for women's clothes for the first time today and the difference is exactly as you say. xx
