I remember my first night out clubbing in a new pair of heels, could walk in heels just fine, and dance, but the agony came the day after, and the day after that. The arches of my feet were stinging for days, could barely walk.
But there is a big different to someone who wears heels for most of the day every day, or someone who wears them occasionally. Occasional wearers tend to have lots of blisters a lot, because their feet are not used to heels and other feminine footwear.
If you intend to wear them all the time, do it slowly, dont cripple yourself. A good way to break shoes in is to wear them a lot before you go anywhere special, no problem for tgirls lol
For someone who has never worn heels before, id say start small, dont go for 6" killer fuck me heels, 2" is fine.
As for how best to walk in them? Watch people walking in heels and try to emulate the way they move, without too much exaggeration, this is where most slip up, thinking women walk all laa di dah, they very rarely dont, although feminine mannerisms are important, it is not all in the legs and hips, its also how you hold your head and carry yourself. Walking slumped like the hunchback of notredam is not going to fool anyone, and neither is poncing around like Jessica Rabbit.Find the balance and eventually it should come quite naturally after a while.
sound advice Alison - my ex wife walked around slumped -

For starters just make sure that when you walk you feel your legs just brush lightly together. It's easy to remember at prevents at least the saddle-sore look that sometimes features at Sparkle.

talking of monster heels, I have a pair of 8inch sandals, with a 3 inch platform....walking in them is easy, sitting down though is awkward!! xxx

I have found you get what you pay for really applies to spike heels. Sometime ago I discovered in boots especially that some have the heel too far forward. It looks great but you can not walk on a 5-7 inch heel in the wrong place. I had this happen only when buying inexpensive boots mostly from internet businesses. Stores or company's around before the internet I discovered wete a bit more but the product was usable. Also had problems with a couple of now big outlets that are tgirl "friendly with designed to fit men" etc. adverts. Fit money into their pockets & never refunded a cent for un usable products. I felt like they thought I could not go but to them & those of their ilk.Wrong. Be careful even when they say they are here to help us. I've found all they help is themselves to our money. Eva

I think there is nothing more sexier than a pair of high heels, doesnt matter if they are strapped shoes or boots, and must be at least 3 inch heels, I feel better wearing a pair of knee high boots with a mini skirt or jeans, and I found it quite easy to walk in them, I have even sort of slowly ran across the road without any problems, not sure about dancing in them though xxxx

I agree nothing looks sexier than 5-7 inch spike heels. If you want to be comfortable in them buy good ones. You can run ( not very fast ) in a good pair.

Lol My heels were from Primark and yet I managed to run pretty damn fast in them when I had too- and!!! they held up !!! Very pleasantly surprised!!

Seems like 1 in 3 RGs carry flats with them in their handbags, and 80% are in pain walking in heels. So its not just us special girls that have problems P xxx

I really find it difficult to find flat shoes in my size, so I have no choice but to walk around in 5inch heels

Seems that the ladies on the catwalk have real feet problems, as the default shoe size is 40. So if your feet are bigger or smaller you have to endure the pain...at least we can choose the size ....and still have the pain

that looks really painful, and lacking in proper footcare. If you are wearing heels day in/ day out, then you need to soak your feet occasionally and use a foot cream. It does help xx

Suzy, I agree. It would appear that catwalk models don't have those options....or maybe they are too dumb? P xxx
