Girly Hormones

Sat here listening to Elizabeth Arlington's classical music show and having a girly weep. Though it has to be said I was feeling really low before I logged in. The music is befitting of the way I'm feeling though.

I'm sure the way I'm feeling is down to hormones. How do you ladies go on with the hormones some of you take? Do you find you have the really emotional times or do they only affect you physically? I could look it up but thought I'd ask here.

    Beautiful music Elizabeth xxx

I wondered if those taking hormones might suffer with something similar?

I took hormones for about a year Adele and they did affect my moods. Mostly for the better I should add. But I did occsionally get the odd random weepy spell triggered by who knows what.

God I get so weepy at times. My dad use to say us girls had our bladders too close to our eyes! Haha!

Why did you stop taking the hormones or is that too personal to ask?

Jallie, I can understand that. I really want to go under the knife. I hate so many things and have a whole list of things I'd get done. One being a breast lift. I just don't fancy the scaring that goes with it.

Its not so personal. I couldnt affrod to keep buying them simple as that. It was costing about £120 a month and I had to make some cut backs at home to survive,

Are they not available on the NHS then? I didn't realise that. That's a lot of money to find each month.

I don't take hormones, Adele, but I do get VERY weepy sometimes when I'm listening to music - Is this girly though ? - Is it only girls that are allowed to express their emotions openly, especially the weepy ones - If so then I must be very girly indeed - I also think it's a lot to do with sensitivity - and yes, dare I say it - intelligence !! - Hope that doesn't sound too elitist - It certainly isn't meant to be - But when I'm so moved by a beautiful piece of music I just have to give way to my emotions and if that makes me weep (and it does !) then so be it - Yet another interesting topic you've started dear Adele - I do SO enjoy reading you - Hugs - Carole - xxxxx

    Aww thank you sweetheart.

I haven't read back at previous topics. This could have been covered a number of times, but its all new to me.

You're right, music is very much mood altering/enhancing. I don't know if I'd class myself as intelligent, but I know I'm overly girly and cry way too easily.

I listen to music all the time and seem to be attracted to classical music. It might have to do with my classical training in my youth.

Good evening by the way. Though I'm off to bed in a minute.

For us girls brought up north of Watford being able to cry and show emotions is a great relief. As a child you were constantly reminded that boys don't cry and hide their emotions! For me it's not classical tunes which get me crying. I still find myself crying at the end of Shakespear in Love and I've watched that loads of times.
