What I really find amazing is the difference in sizes between manufacturers. I can fit quite nicely into an M&S size 20 skirt but struggle to get into some size 24 skirts from other shops. I know that a lot of you girls just go in to shops and try things on but I still struggle to find the courage! Do any of you know where is the best place to get a big size rain coat ( that looks good on!)

Katherine...i did a piece on sizing the other week - should be in one of the forums here. Check out the Guardian on line as one of their writers did the analysis of size variation.

I am size 22 - try Evans, Matalan...maybe M&S. Charity shops sometimes. Other good source is teh catalogues - JD Williams, La Redoute aretwo that spring to mind. Check out teh catalogues online

Hi i think it's time i did a bit more on here, i am a size 26, i have bought clothes from all kinds of places, One place inparticular is M&S Salvage, (no its not a car breakers yard or anything like that) lol. it is a clothes clearence shop based in Culcheth, just outside leigh anybody needs directions i will happily give to you!. Unfortunatley they don't have a web site, but when you can pick a dress up for 8 pounds i am not bothered! check out my red dress pick on my wall photo's!

Have a look at the video for Evans new brand Swan - designed by Clements Ribeiro, which will hit their stores at end of this month. I have included a couple of reviews of their ranges by Guardian and D Mail.

And no I am not on commission - in Manchester the other day shopping in drab I was outnumbered 4-1 by shopping assistants in their main store. Primark was mobbed and I did get a great skirt for £10 and some tops for about £2.50 each.
