I dont wear as much as i used to now, sometimes i even go to the shop without makeup, though i use sunglasses to hide my naked eyes, have even done a vlog without wearing makeup, which for me is a big thing cos i do feel slightly exposed when not wearing it.
Cant wear red lippy though, for some reason i look weird with red lips, so most of my lipsticks are pinks and bronzes.
I do refuse wearing false eyelashes, mostly because my eyes water too much and they dont stick very well with watery eyes, and i am forever touching up my eye makeup if out, cos i know the liner has a habit of being rubbed away a bit too easily.
My makeup bag is quite small, about 7 lippies, 2 foundations, assorted eye shadows, liners and blushers. I use those sponge wedges for the foundation, never used a brush but i have seen foundation being brushed on before and it looks stunning, but its one hell of a look to get right, i cant do it. I always use brushes on eye shadows because i like the way it blends the colours, and brushes are easier to shake clean than those sponge applicators.
I love experimenting with eye liner, trying different looks out, changing the shape of the eyes, i think after foundation the eye liner is the most important item in my make up bag, i have a pencil sharpener which is always in my car in case i need to sharpen it, as well as one here at home in the bathroom, im obsessed with sharp eye liner pencils lolxx

I wear a foundation creme, then apply my brown or blue & green eye shadow and black mascara and balck eye liner to give a good sexy look, but not tarty, a little bit of mid pink blusher to enhance my cheek bones and to finish it off with a dark red lip liner and red lipstick and to then give a spray of a nice sexy smelling purfume like DKNY Apple or Estee Lauder Beautiful and to add a nice red nail poish for the complete sexy feminine look, I find it always goes down well.

After moisturising I use Dior foundation, No:7 powder and blusher. I use brown eyeliner and mascara and brown eyebrow pencil as black looks too harsh on my skin. I normally stick to greys, browns and peach eye shadow which seem to bring out my blue eyes. My lip colours are brownish rather than red as it suits my colouring.

HI Collette, just a thing to note, although all make up actually does have an expiry date the only thing I would say to look out for unless you are experiencing any form of irritation is mascaras, obviously it pays to be particularly careful with the eyes. The chancesof irritation diminish of course with the quality of make up you can afford to INVEST in - you seem to have made very sound choices

i do my best to buy a good item. if i do get any irritation, it goes to the nearest bin lol, normally i buy BOOTS or MAX FACTOR. and have not had any problems, and of course having daughters who have a sort out now and again, i get a few make-up items from them, but always check to see if i get a reaction from them, if i do not. i then keep lol. love collette XXX.

HMMM make up, love it or loath it we all need it to one degree or another, me more than most. Covering my very dark beard shadow can be a real nightmare, I have tried various different camouflage/foundation creams including the most common, Dermablend, Dermacover, Skinlight, TV Panstick but the one I have found that suits me the best is Veil ( http://www.veilcovercream.com/ ) as for everything else MAC is probably the best but as most things of quality, MAC is expensive, but worth it.
I always use brushes and wash them with shampoo after every use, the brushes I use are these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270728329160 I have found them to be very good value for money,
I am not the best person to give advice on make up techniques, still struggle with my look and am never totally happy but I will say practice practice practice and don't be afraid to experiment and most of all have fun....

HIyas Sarah, yes Veil looks interesting around same price as dermablend though so I am toying with going back to Max Factor panstick and then putting some of the more expensive derma / veil on after- having a foundationless weekend as staying in right through til monday -

Hiya April, the Veil isn't cheap and you need a setting powder but you don't need to use a lot to get good coverage, i think Suzi Slut was saying that MaxFactor has been bought out by someone else and the shades are not the same so best check before buying the shade you would normally buy
