Im well confused, slightly bizzared and a little complemented! - that someone used my bod to fake up one of there profile photos (fake - http://www.transtastic.com/se4/albums/photo/view/album_id/9595/photo_id/159981 and Original http://www.transtastic.com/se4/albums/photo/view/album_id/8582/photo_id/129409 ) bloody photoshop skills make her head look more original than mine - and mine's attached, i just checked it and everything.

Odd but each to there own (unless there nicking whole profiles in which case they can fook right off

Thank you for bringing yet another cropper/shopper to our attention Jacqui.

I wasn't aware that we had another photo cropper. So far the moderators have not taken action, as usually these people are outed by other members and ridiculed.

If you want us to do anything Jacqui we will; as to nicking a profile that we take strong action on....always.

    hugs

Jaqui, having seen both pictures. Your original is by far the nicer picture. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery I suppose. I'm now looking through her profile to see if she's stolen any other pictures I recognise from elsewhere. Perhaps it's a new game!

Thanks Pauline, no i don't really mind (except she's racked up more likes! - joke im not that vain - erm on second thoughts yes i am

Just thought it was a bit odd and pertinent to the photoshop thread!

Ooo and thanks Lacy - she's a good photoshopper but - on face value of the profile - it must be difficult to dress where she is so if it makes her happy!

i'll admit I've used photoshop to remove obvious breast-form edges in a few recent photos, and visible armpit hair cuase nobody wants to see that, i'd never put up something that wasn't 100% my body though

I don't own photoshop so my pictures are me. I see many young trans folks M to F and F to M at support and social events. Some of the younger ones are drop dead gorgeous (I'm sure I was once a long time ago). Indeed I do hand out likes a lot as a way of communicating with people. To encourage them in their journey as others have encouraged me. No doubt some of the more sexual shots are doctored, they always are, and yes they have a appeal to me. Stealing others shots is just wrong and should be censored when its spotted. But the purpose of this site is to help people with a similar interest get together and feel less alone. That should be the important thing to me.
Oh damn another rita rant, sorry.

    Gemma,

Not sure it's controversial as a forum, as most posters agree that photoshopping is poor form - and sort of anti the whole point of being TG.

But it has brought out a good few comments.......

Over on the crossdressers.com forums, I've just witnessed another one of these frauders in actions
    http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?225201-Jonesing-for-some-en-femme-time

Some of you will already be aware of my own recent encounter with a fraudster using my images on FB, and I was none too pleased (thanks again for your support)

My guess is that they are either pathological liars or dreamers.

Why is it odd? Hot body!

Most TVs would be jealous. Not sure why one would want to photoshop their own head onto your body though. There are some deeply strange people in this world, especially within our community!

I always say that the camera always lies, so there's never any such thing as an 'honest' photo

The machinery works differently to the human eye and brain so seeing my photo (touched up or not) and talking to me face to face will always be different. I regularly give little tweaks to my own photos and am often asked to do it for work - if someone is going to look intently at your image it's only human nature to want it to look its best.

I think in the case of extensive editing and putting a head onto a different body we are talking about people who are creating a complete fantasy of how they'd like to look, and it may well be of benefit to them psychologically. I don't think they'd be the types to actually meet anyone in person anyway. Where I do have a problem with it is that they are committing a little theft there - if girls take photos of themselves they own the copyright and I'll always find it ill mannered to just filch someones else's work without asking first.

even worse when the girl (victim) is sat next to a mate - who then becomes sat next to some random fetishist

not sure imposing your head on another can benefit anyone at all, the one pretending to be something the obviously are not, the one having the photos nicked, the others (members here) that are being fooled by this carry on. that photo above is just odd btw i'm thinking something is wrong with the cat

We have to realise this problem is beginning to become more prevalent , I suspect throughout social media. I , like most of us have found some wonderful friends on this site in which we all confide and discuss our deepest emotions with and trust they have the same kindred spirit and understanding that we all need from time to time !. However , when that trust has been crushed due to a realisation that the person you confided in is not even honest about who they are and pretend to be some other person by stealing there identity , photo's , bodies , faces !! If this situation is allowed to get out of hand then it will finally kill the very essence that we have on here and any other social interacting media that is available to us , because it will be tainted for good as not trustworthy !!

This is for many reasons a good thread.

It's about duplicity (cheating) which is at the heart of being a Tgirl - we are all deceivers in many ways, whether it's fooling ourselves that we look younger and prettier we are, or lying to those that we love!!

Having been found out by my now ex wife I have all of the T shirts for being a tranny and cheating on the love of my life for hiding that I love to dress as a woman.

Since I got divorced in the mid 90s I have explored many facets of being a T girl and have realized after almost 20 years of being "out" that I am not unique in any way....

BUT....peeps like me do try hard to be as honest as we can, and we post pix of ourselves....which are actually of ourselves,,,,,and most importantly - they are recent ones.

As a VERY mature Tgirl of 67 my current profile photo is a recent one and is not one of me from 20 years ago !!! It's one from a few weeks ago. Yes it's never easy to admit that I am old, but surely it is easier to be truthful about who I am.

And that is what is at the heart of photo shopping - CHEATING

Because ultimately those who photo shop their faces onto someone else's body are cheats - and like Maradona with his "hand of god" goal - they only damage their own reputation, because they are cheating. They make it very hard for that majority who try to be as honest as we can.

I have included an old pic of me from the 1990s so that you can see ..... how ugly I was back then.

    hugs
