I won my first ever raffle on the first day at Sparkle. The prize was £25 to spend at urban oasis in debenhams. Having finally got unpacked I find that this is only in Manchester.

So here is an opportunity to get the voucher which runs out 11 January 2014.

All you have to do is persuade me why you should have the voucher. I'll be the judge and my decision is final. I'll make the decision from your inventive responses here on Friday 26th July. So hurry girls.

Having researched the Debenhams site I find that Urban Oasis has womens clothes, accessories and make up in the range; there are 431 products available.

My suggestion is to give it as a present to Liz & Sharon's daughter who gave birth to twin boys during Sparkle. The new babies will be showered with presents - this will give the new mum a chance to pamper herself in a small way.

    hugs

    Pauline xxxx

I found the perfect quote from C.S. Lewis - one that resonates throughout Sparkle:

Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one.

Errr try I am poor and starving, having been victimised by a transphobic administrator whilst trying to get a business off the ground - the end objective of which is the eradication of IDS!!!! This displays a positive mental attitude determination to overcome objectional twats and an indomitable public spirit.

Sorry the decision is late but I've been busy doing manly things (to some degree at least). And the winner is The Sparkle Twins Mum. Now all I need is an address to send it to and hope she finds something she likes. Perhaps Liz or Sharon could message me.

That's what friends are for Liz.

Its Jo's gift but in a way its from all your friends here on Tastic, and its going to someone very special who deserves a little pampering.

big hugs and a few tears too

Naming children is such a minefield I tend to keep well away. Our oldest was to be Alice Emily Green until we had a run in with a very well known white goods company. When our younger one was on her way, the group I worked with came up with all sorts of 'bad' names: Chrissy (C Green) etc. I'm so glad we decided on Bryony Fletcher Green (damn she's the BFG)
