Does anyone know of a wig cleaning service in Glasgow/Paisley area? I have tried cleaning them myself, but have never had much success.

Try mixing some Fabric Condtioner with water...get one of those "spray bottles" (mine cost 99p from Morrisons) shake well ....then spray onto the wig liberally....shake and brush.
    Good Luck xxx

If you do wash themselves use either cold or lukewarm water

Have a look at this link which gives fairly good directions on how to wash wigs and not ruin them . Key with most wigs as they are made of "man made fibres" ( which means plastic) is that you dont use any water warmer than lukewarm and preferably cold.

If you use hot water or a hairdryer it can and probably will make the wig go frizzy. If the wig is human hair it can be treated like your own.

Or watch this simple U Tube demo; in the same series there is also one on rescuing wigs that have got old and tired

    I hope that helps

great forum girls! I'm going to try and resurrect my first two wigs that are so tangled up that I was going to toss them out... I'd love to have the 'redhead Stella' back in the fold xxx
