You know, there's an ancient tale our Anglo-Saxon and Norse ancestors told around the fire over a thousand years ago. It's about the trials of Thor against the giants.

Thor rocked up to the Land of the Giants and challenged the giants to produce their best warrior. The giants sent forth a tiny, withered old lady.

Thor refused to fight the old lady and wondered what mischief was going on. So the old lady picked Thor up and threw him across the room. Thor got quite angry and fought back. Whatever he tried, the old lady beat him til he was black and blue.

Finally, Thor could take no more and had to accept this tiny, fragile old lady had beaten him.

Thor pleaded with the giants to explain this mischief.

The king of the giants laughed, pointed at the old girl and said 'She is Old Age....... And NO-ONE can ever beat Old Age....'

    I'm all for self enhancement.

My mother and partner don't like it at all. They see all this stuff as fake.

I keep pointing out that we dye our hair, we cut our hair, we pierce our ears etc, people have tattoos, we get our nails done, shave/wax our bodies, wear contacts/glasses, wear underwear to lift and shape us etc etc etc.........

None of the above is natural. So why be so down on other forms of self enhancement? Everything carries a risk.....indeed my partner doesn't want me to have breast lift and says its dangerous (true) but says it with a cig in his mouth. So it's about the risks we're willing to take for our own indulgences.

That must be where the term "butt-head" came from.

Botox is a good way of diminishing muscles on the forehead, over time with the forehead paralyzed the muscles waste, firstly giving the forehead and brow area a lift as they shrink back , but will also give a smoothy and flatter appearance. But please do not think that Botox will get rid of wrinkles, you might need a dermal filler or to. There are also things such as skin peels that will freshen the skin tremendously , or you could go for IPL and have a mini non invasive face lift

On 15th June i will have our aesthetic doctor at our salon launch , you are all more than welcome to attend
