There was already a discussion on this topic but it seems to have been
abandoned as the last post was in August.

Im very interested in electrolysis. Ive read a lot about laser and how it can work out quite expensive as it is not a permanent solution and needs to be maintained.

I wondering if anyone on here has had electrolysis and what was the overal cost.
Also if anyone has used any of these services here in manchester

I was under the impression Laser was permanent, but could take quite a few sessions to get to that.

Waxing Once a month and the use of hair removal cream Hormone treatment has virtually stopped facial hair.

I've been doing laser (well, IPL up to now, moving onto laser soon).

It's not permanent. You need a top up treatment once a year (unless you take hormones).

I got a deal so it costs an average of £85 a session over 10 sessions. The prices comes down as there is less hair.

If you're considering it - take the electrolysis route - it's more painful, takes longer, you have to have whiskers when you go in, but the results are permanent.

I've had flash lamp sessions for about 18months now. I had to cancel the last appointment as I didn't really have anything to remove (YAY!). It was painful at the beginning but got easier as the hairs disappeared. Having a session a year after is not a biggie for me.
If you are thinking of doing it start early because it won't remove grey hairs. Only electrolysis will. I don't know if I would have enough courage to do that.

Anyone wants to know more can message me or ask here.

    xoxo Monique.

If you're in the Yorkshire area there's a discreet salon in Meanwood, Leeds that undertakes IPL at competitive rates. It's the Works Studio, 2 Authorpe Road, Meanwood, Leeds LS6 4JB. Call Rebecca or Sue on 07551 956116. I work with the studio a fair bit - mention my name and ask for discount!!

Yes you need pigment in the hair for any light based treatments to work on. For those that do have pigment then IPL is not permanent but laser can be. Finally I've read on other sites that plucking can distort the follicles making effective electrolysis impossible. I don't the truth in this. Finally, finally I've seen some good laser offers on Groupon so joining that and getting a deal may be beneficial. Don't you just hate facial hair - yuk!

I had laser on my legs and my face, it is permanent but you need several sessions to catch the hair in their right growth phase. So far I had 5 laser sessions, my legs are nice and smooth, still little re-growth but it is very thin, most of the hair folicles on my legs are dead now, I assume that one or two more sessions will suffice. In regards to the face, it does hurt quite a bit, not so much on the cheeks but on the upper lip (close to the nose) and on the side of the chin. The neck area is not that sensitive, but you can certainly feel the folicles vaporize. My way of getting it done it to have them do the face first, so the real pain is done with first and then I have them do my legs and they take a wile as my inseem is 36 1/4 inches. It takes them about an intensive hour and a half to two hours per session. I can attest that it works and it is certainly permanent, Hope that helps xoxoxoxo

I'm an american broad living abroad in London and want to keep up my laser routine on my beard and legs as I'm gonna be here for a while. I've googled a couple of places and came across this site--
    http://thefaceandbodyclinic.co.uk/
I've never heard of epil-pro or erayser though.
Anybody have any experience with either? They both sound too good to be true.
    Thanks ladies!
