Travelling by air

A question (or two) for the girls who travel by air. With security the way it is nowadays at airports how do you travel with your "wardrobe"?

Most people travelling with the budget airlines only travel with hand luggage which means that it gets x-rayed and possibly searched while you are there, thus revealing your frillies etc. for all to see. I suppose that the way around this is to put it all in checked baggage, but of course that could end up expensive, but is the only way if you are taking loads of stuff with you.

Does anyone actually travel "dressed"? Or is it all too much hassle and you don't take your gear with you?

I do remember discussing on a tranny site - mainly Americans - about 10 years ago after 911 about whether to go through security with a bra on - before then no one on internal flights were checked. So for our American cousins it was a new thing

As to packing frillies.....why not pack them in separate plastic bags, which is commons sense. And they rarely search that kind of item ...it would only be containers I would guess.

Like Linda says just brazen it out....like the woman next to me in customs who had a vibrator in her baggage which was searched?

It`s not a crime to be transgendred, thats not what airport security are looking for on luggage searches, they are just trying to keep travel safe from nutcases, bottles and cans etc are the prime thing they are looking out for,and sharp objects, i`d brazen out a trip dressed myself but of course i dont give a damn about what certain people think as it`s my life, but seriously some t girls do travel by air dressed i have seen pictures elsewhere taken on planes and at airports and they have never sited any problems with trips.

What airport people are looking for is the person who is anxious so if you are flying remember this is YOU and not someone doing something wrong. Not a good example but some friends and I were taking kayaks to Canada - they were checked-in as big surf boards! We just brazened it out.

Eva...great idea and its much cheaper than paying excess baggage charges. My son sent 5 suitcases back from Germany to UK that way and it was not crazily expensive. P xxx

LOL I have a old passport with a photo of me with a sensible short brown hair cut. When I flew into NYC at Xmas, I had long blonde hair, looked totally different. The immigration officer said 'What happened to you, did you join a rock band' LOL I've been using that ever since!

My point was the excess bagage being the problem as now you can only bring one ( if any ) suitcases.

I wouldn't have any problem explaining why I had womens clothes in my luggage. It's MY stuff in MY case, end of story. I have ofter travelled wearing female underwear, bra or camisole, tights or hold ups, and as I only own ladies panties, there is no choice there. If you go through the scanner wearing an underwired bra though, you may find yourself being frisked by a security officer.
