This is related to the UK and includes things like identity theft insurance, extended warranties, mobile phone insurance and debt rescheduling. All ways you can be ripped off by banks, retailers and others. The link to the 10 tips is included.

I am sure that you will have other tips you can pass on...and some may not even be serious; but any way you can avoid paying for something you don't need (or want) has to be good.

Some great idea there. I love haggling now - and complaining and asking for something extra for free.

If you don't ask you don't get!

Be brave, be bold and don't be scared to ask for more...

In boy mode when I bought a suit I always asked for a free shirt and tie. Not sure if asking for a free top to go with a skirt in Primark will work, but maybe if you are rich enough to frequent upmarket places it might.

Always ask for an upgrade in hotels - claim there was a spider in the bath!

personally i would ask for anything, but only if i wanted it. it once crossed my mind to ask at reception in the "Brittannia" for a new wardrobe of clothes, like them taking me out in Manchester and paying for it, but i thought twice about it as i thought the might decline lol. love collette XXX.

If I'm buying makeup from a specialised counter I allways ask if there is any freebies that I could try......If u dont ask, you dont get.....Simple.
