Wigs and makeup?

    Hiya.
I'm sure this has been asked a thousand times but how do go about sizing yourself for a wig? I don't know where I would even find a shop close by that sells wigs so I'd have to use an online shop. I purchased a wig before (from Honour) but it was far to small, how do I get one that fits?

I'm not convident enough to walk into a shop and buy makeup, other than the cheap eyeliner I bought in a goth type shop. Where can I buy makeup without spending a fortune and what kind do I begin with to hide my fascial hair? Eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipstick and foundation?

    Thanks ladies.

Need to ask this too. How many of you, who are not 'out' pluck your eyebrows too? Once I've applied eyeliner, my eyebrows just look so wrong! I still have to go to work and I don't want to raise to many suspisions.
    Thanks.

Having not really bought many wigs, about 5 i think, i ahve never had a problem with size, most come in a One Size Fits All category, and most do have adjustable straps at the nape of behind the ear. Mail order is all very well and good, but you cant try it on until you have paid for it, its always best to buy a wig in person really.

As for your second dilemma, why not gradually pluck them? Slowly at first, not too much, just give them a better shape, and over the next few months, make them thinner, slowly but surely, no one will really notice xx

When I first started buying makeup etc I was always scared stiff even if there was no chance of anyone knowing me, but gradually got more confidant so that now if I'm out of town I even try on clothes & wigs and even sample makeup ( but not locally) the size of wigs is not an issue as they are usually adjustable like alison says, but having ended up with some that really dont look good on me I like to try them on first. Iv'e found that shop staff are really helpful & friendly, maybe they laugh later but who cares?

I have plucked my eyebrows for years now and started out just very gradually and then slowly did a bit more, its really a fine line between looking good & still natural & taking it too far and being really obvious, I do pluck quite a bit but no one has ever commented or to my knowledge noticed, Just take it slow & be confident

For wigs you measure the circumference of your "bonce" by wrapping the tape measure behind each ear...(normally its about 24-26" for us girls) but one size fits all as previously mentioned sorts it.
Eyebrows....just whip em off with a Fusion lol xx
