Remembering people's names.

My work involves meeting many people. I am introduced, I say their name and say "howdydo", chat for a while and move on. Often, I won't meet those people again for a few weeks or months and their names have totally gone from my accessible memory. When I hear their names again, 'bang' , I remember.

I need some advice on some sure fire, 'mnemonic', techniques for remembering names?

I get so embarrassed ??? Someone help me ??

Beckie, my Pool Competition Team, the BB's, ( the only team of disabled people in the comp), have our names embroidered on the left breast of our team shirts, to make it easy for the teams we play against.
Mind you, we all look so individualistic in our own ways; Sula plays with one arm, Kim is Asian, etc, ... me, I'm the beautiful girl/boy .. ha ha ! ...
so it's not too hard to remember us and our names, with or without name tags.

All the other players, I just call Mate or Bob or Mick depending on their accent !

    Hey ? Some Transtastic Team T-shirts are a thought !!! I'd love one !

April-Mae , thanks for your suggestion gorgeous.
I went there, but which bit am I looking for ? Can you give me a Title or an Episode ??

Thanks girls , .... nicky XXXXxxxOOOxxxXXXX
