Just listening to Roy Orbison singing "I Drove All Night", and discovered that though it was written for him, it was a hit for Cyndi Lauper before his version was released. As ever Roy's amazing voice with its sweeps and soars drags you into the lyrics. In my girlhood i was lucky enough to see him play live when he was Top of the Bill (The Beatles were the No 2 act...yes they were) in 1964 at a now demolished venue in Manchester. Pauline xx
