Waxing

I have noticed a few posts on here about hair removal.

Whilst shaving and depilatory potions work for a day or so I would highly recommend going to a beauty salon for a full wax.

    A word of Caution:

Depilatory Creams are OK but in the main designed for female hair, which we don't have. The difference is that genetic male hair is round and usually quite course, genetic female hair is finer and a more rhombus shape.

I have used veet and other products to a good enough effect but the results are very temporary and please take care NOT TO KEEP on for more than 10 mins you will badly burn your skin.

Now waxing at home is not a great idea in my experience.

It is difficult to reach all areas and can be pretty painful if you get it wrong!

Epilators are OK but again you need nerves of steel to use them.....

So I have discovered salon waxing.

Does it hurt? Yes it does but well worth it.

I have baby soft skin for a good 4 weeks after a leg and chest wax, it does grow back a lot finer too.

Find a salon you can expect to pay around £60 for a full leg and chest wax. Takes about 45 mins.

The salon that I use in one in North London where the girls know all about me and we have great chats about clothes and make up whilst I get monthly torture!

A good tip is two ibuprofen 30 mins before wax and I usually have a large glass of wine!

I promise the results are well worth it. Pain wise, its over in a few seconds and you are silky smooth.

Just make sure that you shower gently for the next few days and exfoliate after 4 days or so to let the growing hairs break through the skin.

Be careful in your choice of body moisturiser, I use sudo cream, for the first 3/4 days after waxing and then Dove.

Waxing means that I have very minimal hair on legs from knee down and very fine of upper body.

If you don't want to come out to the staff try:

Station Spa in Covent Garden they have male and female therapists and no one bats an eyelid but they are more expensive.

I use a ladies salon in North London and they are amazing!

Just take it easy and put that razor down!
