Hi Amanda,
Good to have you back, and am sure I speak for all on here when I say April 3rd can't come quick enough, always good to see people return and be themselves.
As for loosing ya father and not coping well, 8 years ago I lost my mother, grandmother, graddad, uncle and great uncle all within 3 year period, so I know how you feel.
My advice to you is this, don't try to push those feelings away, embrace the loss, remember all the good things about him, all the good he taught you and all the reasons that made you love him so much, and know that he will be in your heart and soul forever more.
Even after 8 years If I see something my mum used to like I go to text her before I remember she gone, then I stand thre thinking see mom, still looking out for the things you loved most.
Or I'll do something and somebody will say Les you heartless sod, have you no tact?
And I'll giggle and go nope, mum never could teach me that, though she gave it her best shot.
You learn to take what makes you sad at the start into things that remind you of all the fond memories of them.
So just take each day as it comes and you'll get there in the end.
Message me anytime if you need someone to talk to.
