If it just an online stalker, I tend to play along and make them think I'm not bothered, keep giving them rope to hang themselves with.

If they in same city or a neighbouring one or they hide it then I'm more careful with my approach, more so with men than women, but from experience don't let them think it's really getting to you as it just fuels them to do it a lot more intensely.
