Sorry that you girls could not see it, it turned out to be a weird beauty contest with girls bad mouthing each other, regional winners being banned and the winner losing her crown after 3 months.
If you know nothing about our trans community it certainly showed the "warts and all" view of us - and that we are actually no different than vanillas. Full of dreams and insecurities, which Joe or Jane Average have too, loved by our families - 2 out of the 3 people featured had that, and trying our best to make our way through life.
If you are looking for a rose tinted view of trans women this documentary doesn't give you that. Initially I felt let down by it, but on reflection it is worth seeing - full marks to the 3 girls who agreed to let the camera into their deepest private lives.

I spotted some contestants in the background of the heats that looked like they could have been [ed. better] TV, also better looking than some of the winners.
Any reason to watch it again, I'm scrubbing through it later for screengrabs
