So I'm in talks with a TV production company and they are talking about creating a show that is 'an authentic reflection of crossdressers/ trans girls'.

Do you think most trans girls pass? That's not a question that can be answered in one simple soundbite. Some do, some don't, some look like wide-eyed marine creatures with a finger stuck up their bottoms.....it's impossible to answer.

Do you prefer fashion that blends in as much as possible? I prefer fashion/looks with a degree of personal identity, rather than those dictated by any other mediums, for any other reasons.

Do you enjoy being a normal bloke in day to day life? Of course. It's not like I'm pretending to be a girl or anything. I'm entirely comfortable with my identity, regardless of what i'm wearing, and very publicly so either way.
The average guy is; 5ft 9ins, 16ins neck, 42ins chest, 37ins waist, 12st 6lbs - are you Less, More, About The Same? Less - a little shorter (5ft 6ins), smaller waist (28ins), and preposterously small feet (UK 5.5), although I have enormous shoulders, which is very handy for haymaking time, changing engines, mending dry stone walls and looking like Odd-Job in an undersized Tuxedo at society/Equestrian events that we host.

I still wonder about what this quiz is for and what happens to the answers.

However, today I was taken to lunch by my boyfriend to a gastro pub in Delph (near Oldham but on the moors), so hardly a trans friendly venue one would think. The place was full - mainly oldies as they get a reduced price menu - but as my toy boy was paying he paid full price. Excellent food and service and a choice of over 600 types of gin; plus an attentive man as company and driver, so I could have a few drinkies.

Even more interesting was that I didn't get a 2nd glance or a double take from any of the other diners, and I am a big gal - 5'10" and dress size 22. I was not however dressed like a prostitute or with a skirt too small and too short, but dressed like women actually dress.

To me it illustrates that if you have enough chutzpah you can go anywhere. And by the way in 2 weeks time I will be 68 so age is not and never has been about passing; it's in my opinion all about attitude and self confidence.

Just go out girls and experience the real world - it's not that frightening.
