I am looking for some guidance on places to go in Newcastle mid week. I have managed an overnight stay there this Thursday and wondered if anyone
knows where are good places to go?

Hiya Devon, if your looking to go on scene head for the Pink Triangle ( https://www.google.co.uk/maps/search/pink+triangle+newcastle/@54.9714581,-1.6278074,15z/data=!3m1!4b1 ) on google maps everywhere there and in the vicinity is LGBT orientated although you get a mixed crowed most places).

If you just want to go out then Newcastle is in the main a super friendly place and has tonnes of restaurants / bars. For a spanish El Coto is my fave ( https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/El+Coto+Ltd/@54.9750677,-1.6202276,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x487e70cafc5f9ddb:0xf09602e931f2adbf ) Chinese head to Stowell Street (theres loads https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Stowell+St,+Newcastle+upon+Tyne,+Tyne+and+Wear+NE1+4YB/@54.9722322,-1.6224718,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x487e774aaadb9f29:0x3495a517fac2195b ) or if your into TV Chefs (thats television) theres a Jamies Italian (overpriced but OK with some nice bars near around the Theatre Royal just down Grey Street here https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Jamie's+Italian+Newcastle/@54.9741218,-1.6153483,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x487e70c98ac29649:0xc4766197d256bc77 ).

Ooo and in case you didn't mean food / drink - id head towards the quayside and have a look at the Sage, the Baltic and the Eye Bridge thing - and St James Park (of course) although given we're third bottom its just as well your not here for a match;)
