What was your first perfume?

It can be simple enough - as in what was the first perfume (or eau de toilette or scent) that you ever wore. Maybe a quick squirt of ma's finest?

Or one you remember that your mum or sis or aunt wore when you were in your first stages of girlhood.

These days there is much more choice, though I still remember that saying from Marilyn Monroe when asked what she wore in bed...... Why Chanel Number 5 of course

    hugs

Back in the mid to late 80's, when I realised that I wasn't just playing at this, I spent about half a week's wages on a bottle of "Anais Anais"
I suppose when my mum found it hidden at the back of my sock drawer, she must have thought that I had a girlfriend at the time. The fact that I had long hair and pierced ears still didn't give her a clue and so I played along with her. Now when ever I smell "Anais Anais", I always think of my mum, which is also why I have never bought it since!

first perfume i brought myself was opium, but remember my mums youth dew from my childhood. It probably sounds funny but with a big family of smokers and mostly females it was the smell off fags and perfume that wafted around the house non stop growing up and i love it still

"Mark Vardy is for Men!" Who amongst you knows this advertising slogan from the early 1960's? A pretty powerful aftershave that I delighted in splashing all over me whether I had shaved or not; so much so that a girl-friend accused me of trying to 'queer her pitch'! Disappointingly it didn't stay on the market very long - I think it was a bit ahead of its time - so I had to transfer to the ubiquitous Old Spice .

Since going 24/7 I have used 'Narciso' (in the 80 quid a bottle range) but worth every penny; I am frequently stopped in the street or in shops to be asked what it is. Highly recommended. x x

When I realised I needed to have a perfume as part of my life, I bought lots of testers and tried them. I settled on "Modern Muse" and I still wear it today. I love it.
