Tell me about it!!!!!!..... Next M&S and John Lewis all have hugely different standard sizes, it tends to make me check sizes in one store then generally stick with them, as then I know at least it will fit, plus its not easy buying clothes for me as I have a deformed monkey shape, long arms (very) large chest, large stomach, long legs and thinnish hips! I dream of having real hips small waist and narrow shoulders!!! with a rich Russian oligarch to match..... who has a passion for old ugly t-girls!..........................
I've just realised what quoting Next, J Lewis, and M&S, does for my fashion credibility!!! DOH!!
XXXX
M&S used to stock shoes in size 9 whch fitted me perfectly but have now stopped! typical!!!!

Andrea,
Both Evans and the Shoe Tailor (the latter is on line only) have shoes up to size 9 and both have E and EEE fittings which are good if you don't have narrow feet and sometimes mean you can go down a size.
I did find when I came back to the UK that a 42 here is often a size 7 ( which is a 41 in Holland and Germany) so many shoes were too small as I am usually a real 42. Putting weight on sometimes increases your shoe size so sometimes I am a 43.
M&S seem to have made their shoes smaller - I think one of the RGs commenting said that too.

i think sizing has gone to pot, a size 16 20 years ago was a 16 and not a 18/20 and a size 10 was not a 14, i find it best is to try it on and if it fits who cares about the size, i am a 10 - 12 - 14 and a 16, now that makes a lot of sense lol, love collette XXX, OH, size 8 in a shoe, that is a dead cert lol.

Try it on if it looks like it will fit if it won't don't buy it unless its really cheap and you are handy with a pair of scissors and sewing stuff ..... and or have an imagination and a creative spirit
