I love that vintage fifties pin-up look! its is so glamorous and comes from a time when women were wearing large corsetey underpinnings and kept the home for hubby, looked after their men, etc!!....a la Madmen!
a time when raising the hem of your skirt revealed delicious layers of naughty chiffon and lace!! when undressing a woman was an exploration which you needed permission to start and was rewarded at the end with awkward sex!!! .............I'm afraid it presses all my female/girly buttons!
not good in terms of real life practical female emancipation!!!!!!...things have moved on in leaps and bounds since then thank god!!..... but still partly a glorious celebration of some elements of real femaleness which are missing a little in today's world!
