Fatal Fashion

The BBC speaks about fatal fashion based on skinny fit jeans.

In the past there were items such as

Corsets, which caused many problems - indigestion, constipation, fainting amongst other problems

Crinolines - mainly burns and death from getting too close to fires

Stiff collars - death by choking

Killer heels - toes cut off

    see link http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20150624-when-fashion-kills

These days for me it's wearing heels - I have ingrowing toe nails from wearing them so often - and to a lesser extent a corset or girdle (too tight) is painful at times.

So girls and boys...what items of clothing do you wear that gives you comfort problems?

    hugs

6 inch heels are just over the limit for me after 1 to 2 hours and the 5 inch feel like slippers, just have to only wear them in bed xXx

My first Merry Widow was very constricting, that was much of the pleasure too.

Yes, I'd like to know that too. Anything to do with the Franz Lehár operetta?

Merry Widows are always shown in 1950s pix as being worn over voluminous petticoats, whereas in reality they were next to the body and just like all in ones. P xxx

I once tied my jock strap too tight and ended up sing soprano instead of baritone.

Corsets that I tied too tight (nice at first though!) and shoes that are just a little too tight for comfort after about 15 mins, I find getting a pair of shoes that fit just right a problem I am a (Male) size eight and a half and haven't found the perfect womans size they're either too tight or they're falling off when I walk any distance.

I know what you mean Sandra. I've given up on ever wearing heels again unless a podiatrist custom makes them.
A merry widow is like a full over bust corset. I still have the one. I had it fitted in a lingerie shop in the early 80s then lost weight and it became too big. It fits better now around the waist but I don't have the boobs or bum to make it look good.
