I wrote a really nice post about myself and it seems to have disappeared into the ether so this is my second attempt.
The essence of what I said was that I have been a transvestite since as long as I can remember. I am now of an age (mid-fifties) where my offspring are leaving the home, so, I decided that it was now or never to allow those suppressed feelings to come to the fore and see what happens. This email is part of that experiment.

Hiya Anne, well it's nice that you have joined us all here at Transtastic. You can always blog about yourself, and join in the huge amount of banter that goes on! Hugs Liz x

Welcome, Anne, and I hope you are able to reach out to the friends here x.
Percy Bysshe Shelley must have woken up next to Byron and his mother-in-law in a wheelie bin at least once. I love it x.

Elizabeth, Sabrina and Julia Mae, thank you for welcoming me.
Julia Mae, I am afraid you lost me with your Percy Bysshe Shelley sentence. Please explain. I didn't do philosophy to any level.

Anne, sorry, I had no philosophical intent with that statement. Maybe more of a literary flavour, but I am an amateur in that sphere, apart from being an avid reader. What I was trying to say is that you can wake up one morning with your world entirely changed. And for trannies, that mostly happens in the mid-fifties after the children have flown xxx.
