Quick update

Hey all! It has been a while since I had any news about what's been going on with my transition. I saw the psychologist with my friend (ex-wife) along for some Q&A. Apparently, according to her, I never acted very manly. Something which she didn't much care for. It made both of us unhappy people. As the song goes, "Love Will Tear Us Apart". There is still a love there, but it is of a different nature. Right now, she is my best physical friend.

I see the pyschologist in two weeks at which time we will go over the report that he will send to the Rikshospitalet. We also discussed a few options ahead should I be denied by them. He knows a few doctors who can prescribe both anti-androgens and hrt. Apparently, most doctors should be able to do this with only a letter from him.

The Escitalopram (generic; Brand name Cipralex) is working great so far. I should be increasing my dosage tomorrow as it has been 3 weeks. I am much calmer and I must say a bit more energetic! Not quite enough to get me off my buttocks, but closer at least. maybe with that extra 5mg, I will make a breakthrough. All-in-all, I can say that I haven't felt this "well" in a long time.

Other than that my friend was asked a few other personal questions, which I won't go into here. The pyschologist tried to press her for some "smoking gun" evidence about my behaviour or mannerisms or some episode that must have happened that she "knew" this about me. All she said was that she knew. There wasn't anything in particular, just that I never acted very much like a man, never wanted to take responsibility or "be the man-in-charge". I deferred to her. Also, she said that I had soft features and she wasn't just referring to my pudgy body.

Afterwards, I bought lunch for the both of us, and then we went to do a bit of work together. The rest of the week is somewhat busy, which is good. I see my GP tomorrow, and then the day after I get to make another 60 dvds, yay. (sigh). It is money though!

Now I just need to find a way to take off 10-15kg, and I should be doing better. My friend mentioned Psyllium Husk, and I will try that.Hope you all have been well and I hope to hear from you all again.

  • Rachel Maxwell Thanks all.. Psyllium Husk apparently is very high in fibre and also is a bulking agent. In that you ingest it and then you feel really full. This is one thing I need to do in order to lose weight..not eat so much lol.I found some links on ebay....  more
