Who Wants To Be On Telly ?

I'm blogging this announcement as my intial post on the main feed will soon disappear into the past and not be seen by many.

I have just been approached by a TV programme researcher who feels I might be a suitable subject for a programme about 'unusual' pensioners! (I had added 'pensioner' as a tag to my Flickr account!).

Unfortunately I have had to turn her down as I am not fully 'out' and I wouldn't want to be publicly exposed in this way.

Perhaps some of you who are fully out, or don't mind being outed in this way, are in receipt of a pension and get out and about in public, would like to volunteer themselves as possible subjects?

If so let me know and I'll pass your details on to her. Come on now, don't be shy!

    Hugs, Trines x x

The following is an extract from her email:-

I am working for an independent production company and we are in the
early stages of a development project exploring the lives and public
antics of the more extroverted British senior citizen.
We are looking for seniors who refuse to reach for the cocoa and slippers, but instead are determined to live life to the full and focus on themselves.
I came across your pictures on Flickr and I would be very keen to speak to you about the project in more detail.

  • Julie Hawkwood I've been on telly twice frocked, once with Julia Grant and the other time with Mary the Legs from the Concord. Both when I was young and hot and had a body like a gazelle. I'll post them someday. Not showing off, just saying...xxx
  • Julia Mae White I'm not a pensioner, but sign me up anyway, someone may die.
  • Penny Haywood I was approached last year by a production Co......poured my heart out to em in email replies to their questions..then was told it was intended to be shown in Canada and no one would finance it. FFS !
  • madam sin In theory it sounds good but don't forget they need the shock factor to get ratings and id be very careful getting involved with that, but by getting out and about whilst dressed you will get awareness of trans into the community and you already do that...  more
