Transgender Teenager Drama

The CW is developing a drama about a transgender teenager. According to Deadline, ZE is a "raw, quirky family drama" centering on an FTM kid in Texas whose transition becomes a point of public controversy and throws his dysfunctional family into disarray. The show was written by playwright Kyle Jarrow (A Very Merry Unauthorized Children’s Scientology Pageant) and should it go to air would be the first series with a trans lead character. Go for it, CW! Degrassi just killed off its trans teen character (R.I.P. Adam), so we're running at a deficit.
