how does being a T-girl affect the rest of our lives?

I was thinking yesterday about how being a transsexual fits into life in general and tried to make up a list where it either influences what I do or what I think. Sometimes it’s useful to disentangle the sexual bits from the ordinary everyday bits! A lot of us are sexually active creatures and our mingling of gender stereotypes is part of our sexual DNA but then going beyond the slipping into pretty lingerie for an evening out for a moment to how does our little transsexual brains influence us?

I have thrown together a sort of list out of interest and I’d love to see if other girls agree or can add to it! There’s no order it’s just random thoughts jotted down really.

    • I don’t like male joshing or taking the piss, a lot of men enjoy putting younger men or newcomers through trials making fools of them or creating initiation type ceremonies. I went to a boys only boarding school and enjoyed multiple beating with wet towels, being thrown downstairs naked in a laundry basket among choice others! This was all in the name of male camaraderie and bonding.....I know i was probably an irritating little tart.... as an effeminate and scheming little boy bitch but? Is it really necessary?.... my transsexual soul cries out for a little more kindness and less taking the piss!
    • I can watch a Vin diesel or Jason Statham film and love the testosterone filled action…… then slip a romcom DVD into the player, slip into a pink nighty and stash a large cheese and onion Pringles in my lap and cry for 50 minutes! Do non T-girls do this!? I suspect possibly not!
    • When I see women in the street I eye them up but its goes from shoes, to top, to hair! Then make-up.... doing a rapid evaluation, does it work where did she buy that or I love that combo....then its onto a critique of her figure! Does she look after herself and how do you buy jeans with hips like that!
    • When I look at our mp’s in parliament... I find myself siding or agreeing with the males!!!... and finding female politicians waspish and school-marmish! Not sure what going on here!! as hand on heart I am a true feminist and defends women’s universal rights to the death!
    • Colour is important in all things! Clothes, furniture, decorating and hair!! Awareness of tone shade and matching colour is a wonderful and captivating world!
    • When watching a film in the cinema I flip flop between identifying with the heroine one minute then the hero! Although when seeing snow white for the first time at 8 I just wanted to be carried off by the prince!
    • I like tactile things and their shapes... like certain make-up bottles and certain shapes of phones and technology. Touch is important and I realise that I touch other people a lot without thinking, on the arm or hand..... sometimes to the alarm of fellow male workers! I hug friends always!
    • I am very aware of the feel of clothes on me, the sense of underwear and how its feels on my body, jeans slacks or jackets all have a strong effect on my body and the sensations they create. This is not sexual in any way! Seemingly its just part of my sense of my body! This awareness extends to the cut and shape and texture of the fabric things are made off and its definitely not fetishistic!
    • I cry easily!!!!...... especially at anything sentimental!
    • I love cars and am to much of a petrolhead but I appreciate stowage, interiors, colours (again) and what would I look like getting out of that in a LBD, I do prefer cars that suit a female elegant look...... although still dribble over Lambos, Corvettes, etc!
    • When I wear shorts they are always very short for a man! Very high on the thigh and often low slung on the hips!  Men wear mid calf baggy cobat shorts!
    • I adore female comedians Miranda Hart, Sara Millican, Gina Yashere, etc all have me wetting my knickers!!!...... but in a different way to male comedians!!

So there we go girls, a few thoughts for starters. I do think that for a lot of us, our transexualism is a deep rooted thing and influences all sort of little bit of our lives. Personally I think Andrea is a much nicer person than her male counterpart! So let’s all celebrate the little female bits of our brains!

  • Pauline Smith like this
  • Kimmy Millar I can relate to most of that Andrea, although not game enough to wear short shorts out in public. Love being able to relate to many different sides of being a person some defined as male orientated & some female and find it easy to slip into either...  more
  • Andrea Caskin Thnaks Pauline and Kimmy I think it is interesting how much 'blending' goes on of female and male traits. I wonder if they are always there, its just that as CD.s, tranvestites or transexuals we are more aware of them and accentuate them as a result! it...  more
