    Hello Everyone

First may I say Thank you for the kind thoughts amd messages from all my friends on here and family during this illness that I am suffering at this time.

The results of the blood tests showed that I had a massive body infection as a result of an allergic reaction to something I had touched eaten or went near.....by this time my ankles had swollen to twice their normal size and on the 30th of january I went to the surgery to see my GP, but as i got to reception I collapsed and the next thing I knew I was in hospital with nurses and doctors trying to get a canula into a vein in my arm but as my whole body was so red and inflammed they could not locate a vein and when they did manage to find one they put the canula in but the vein collapsed after 8 hours... this resulted in a decision being made to eventually put a canula into the only vein left and that was in my groin, and believe me you dont want to go through that process, christ did that hurt.

So i was pumped with fluids, steroids and 1000mgs of antibitoics every 6 hours until eventually on the saturday 2/2/13 my body started to resemble some sort of normality instead of looking like an overgrown puffa fish with my swollen lips and sunken eyes, the whole of my skin flaking off like snow, even so far as leaving a trail as i walked...

I was discharged on Tuesday 5th January with continous medication which will finish at the weekend but the important thing is I am slowly getting back to normal life, my skin is virtually back to its softness and colour and I am able to sleep more than 2 hours a night now for the first time in months.

Now I need to concentrate on my photography business and start getting some work in as being self employed means I dont get sick pay, luckily I have bookings from next month so its not too bad as that will give me time to get fully recovered and work on my photography business website oh yes and staying in touch on this site too.

I am due back at the hospital in 4 weeks to have some patch tests which hopefully will tell me what my body reacted to and what to avoid to stop any re-occurcance of the the recent allergy attack on my body.

Once again Thank You to all for your kind thoughts and you all take care as i care.

    Sweet Regards
    Sophie x
