Experiences at Beauty Salons

Hi I would first like to say this is not an advert for a particular salon in sheffield although having been I would recommend it. Would like to hear other t-girls etc experiences in the female environment of a beauty salon.

I was sort of in dire straits two days to go before sparkle and the person that usually does my eyebrow shaping and waxing was in spain, how dare she. Anyway thats another story, so I had to find somewhere local to do my eyebrows and ended up on yell.com, dont ask me how, eventually I found two local salons which offered the service and eventually I plumped for one which is only ten minutes away from me.

I was surprised to find a full salon when I got there but I didnt get one look when I walked in and they offered me a coffee while I waited and so I started to relax and even enjoy the experience somewhat. Eventually a young lady took me through and proceeded to ask a few questions like had I had this done before and what shape was I looking for etc, and when I told her I was a t-girl she didnt even flinch and we had a really good chat about why I was having them done and why I ought to go more regularly as it makes the shaping process easier.

Would just like to say after all this time and somewhat being afraid to go into this environment I found the experience most uplifting and the eyebrows were absolutely perfect

thanks to the girl at Preemo and she said we would all be made welcome anytime, so good luck girls and anyone else ever done this let me know how you went on would love to hear your stories. lol Joanne xx

  • Deleted Member I think its wonderful that we are accepted at these places pity we are not accepted in mainstream life as well,
  • Deleted Member Id dispute that we are not accepted, people are more tolerant than most realize, once people get over the spectacle most see past the clothes and makeup, they just need the chance to xx
  • Deleted Member I have just watched Jamie from last night and perhaps you are right alison perhaps its us and not them that need to accept who we are and not look for acceptance from others. We are what we are lets get on with it and have more fun.
  • Deleted Member I couldnt agree more Joanne, when im 103 and on my death bed i wanna be able to die smiling knowing i done all i wanted to do on my terms. Tgirls are selfish by nature, which is not necessarily a bad thing, it helps in this world we inherit i think, like...  more
