    What’s in a label?

I am looking at beginning transition in the New Year and thinking about what category I fall into confuses me.

    Let me explain.

From the age of 12 to 28 I see myself as being a CD as I played at trying clothes on and the occasional self gratification while wearing them.

At 28, Ria was born. I became a TV. Full make over and going out to venues; going from an occasional TV to a regular TV over a period of time.

In the past year have begun mixing with Joe Public. Gaining more confidence with each expedition; shopping, restaurants, cinema etc. Allowing my skin to become thicker.

Now to the present day: I am looking at going through transition to make myself whole as a woman and this is where my question arises.

What do I classify myself over the next period of my life?

Am I a TS, because I have to live as a woman for at least two years and take hormones before going on to the next stage? Or am I classified as a more advanced TV as it were?

When does the term TS actually kick in, in one’s development?

I know many girls who live full time as a woman but have no desire to have surgery or hormones and others on hormones with no view to having surgery. Are these TS’s?

Am I getting to a point in my development where I will be non-categorised?

It’s a confusing quagmire! Hence my dilemma.

It confuses me so, because everyone seems to want and expects you to know what you are, where you sit in the scheme of things and how you progress.

In the concept of categories and labels I have hit a wall, a major Quandary!

    It all seems unclear.

I would be very interested in the comments and opinions of others as I have not come across anything that gives definitive answers or explanations.

    Thank you in advance.

    Hugs

    Ria

    Xx

  • Devon :) READ THE BLOODY PROFILE PEOPLE ! The all empowering you are who you are, just be yourself etc, for myself was not enough For me it was like standing in a spinning Zoetrope when all outside was sea mist. All the figures were moving knew something wasn’t quite right. . . . until I...  more
  • Monique Caresse I wouldn't think of categories or labels I'd just deeply explore your own wants and feelings and what you want to do. If you are happy with yourself you are naturally happy with and for others. xoxo Monique
  • Deleted Member I've never been one for labels, but if I had to have one it would be quite simply "Unique."
  • Jady Shaw All the best to everyone who decides to travel this difficult journey xxx
