  Dr. Lucifer Spatchcock was born in the Uzbek village of Worksop in 1360. His father was a plague doctor and his mother a bus driver. In 1986, Lucifer graduated from Oxford with a 1st Class Honours Degree in selling plastic bags to drug dealers. He stayed on at Oxford and two weeks later, achieved a Doctorate in Flies.

  Dr. Lucifer Spatchcock now lives in Northern Chad where he enjoys walking alongside the numerous rivers and through the ubiquitous meadows which dominate the local countryside. He draws his inspiration for his work from the majestic beauty of the landscape, in particular the many awe inspiring glaciers which have been sculptured by the ever changing weather over millennia.

  Scorch Your Foot is not his first work, but it is, to date, his greatest. Inspiration for the story was derived from one of his many walks through the Chadian countryside. On seeing a gigantic glacier, he stopped and in awe, sparked a bine, but it fell out of his gob as he were gawping. The lit end of the bine landed on his foot and that was it. He didn’t look back.
