The cost of this way of life

I suppose that since I first discovered that I was someone who enjoyed wearing womens clothes, I have spent a small fortune.

I am of course not alone in this. A lot of us here who use this website have spent much more than we really should have.

What's not to like about making that new purhase and taking it home, trying it on and enjoying?

Even better when we can wear it out on a day or evening out and look and feel good while doing so.

The reason that this subject popped into my mind was because I have a night out tonight.

I am meeting a friend for a drink and want to look and feel my best.

It wasn't till I completed my shopping this morning that I was taken aback on how much I had spent.

I have booked a hotel room. I have bought a new dress, shoes and handbag especially for the night. The shoes are slightly loose, but with the aid of heel grips and gel sole pads have solved this. More expense!

New eyeliner, eyeshadow, lipgloss, false lashes and false nails have been bought as well as new undies and tights.

Rain may happen, so I bought a new brolley since the last one blew away.

Then there is the cost of the evening itself.

I always pay my way, so I expect half the bill for the drinks that we will consume.

I know that this sounds like I am complaining......and in a way I am, but when taking everything into account, I shall have spent in the region of £300 for a night out! Money I can't really afford to spend.

In the cold light of day I'll ask myself if it is worth it and ultimately regret spending that amount of money for a few hours of enjoyment.

I'm not entirely sure of the point I am making to be honest, but I'd say to any of the chaps out there who take girls for granted:- Remember that it costs money to look and feel good, so please remember that!

There is a lot to be said for a quiet night in!

  • Josephine Green over time my partner has kept my expenses in check. We now share a lot of things: jewellery, some make up, tights and the latest perfume. Most of the rest we can't share as we are different sizes or she doesn't need them (boobs and wigs).

  • Caroline Brookes Thanks to all for their considered responses. I'd like to point out that i don't always spend big amounts of cash like this on a night out. I can spend very little and enjoy myself just as much as i did on Saturday night. It was just a little luxury and...  more
