  Monday 2nd June 2014

  I thought that I would be so nervous today, but I think meeting my teammates for lunch on Friday helped with that, so there were no nerves at all.

  Got up at 6:30 and spent longer than usual getting showered and doing my face. I arrived at work at twenty to nine, walked to my desk and said hello to the early birds. They all said hi as they usually do and carried on working, that's what early birds doIt was nice though, just like nothing was different. 

  So, some of the highlights today, besides catching up on a lost week of work

  • This morning I got a call from the CEO to ask how everything was going, such a nice gesture.
  • Got my picture taken for my new ID pass and for the company directory. It's so nice to have the right name on my pass now
  • I got so many nice comments about how I was dressed
  • Nobody appeared to be nervous with me, they were all just their normal selves
  • I discovered that last Friday in a management meeting, one of the managers asked if I would still go to see clients in case they might not like it. The senior manager said, and I quote "If they don't like it they can go fuck themselves". OMG

  It's been a bit of an anti-climax as everyone has just been accepting and we've just got on with work, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

  Happier than ever, life has begun:)
