Coming out to work - first steps part 3

  Thursday 8th May

  I had the meeting today with my boss, a business analyst that I work closely with every day and is an amazing woman, and finally a man that I’ve worked closely with for the last 13 years. My HR manager did a brief introduction and then I gave them a letter that I'd prepared. Silence for a few minutes as they read, it felt like years, but I could read appreciation on their faces. They waited for everyone to finish reading and then my boss opened with a congratulatios on being so brave..same reation again, but so appreciated. There were some questions and admissions of previous experience of this, my boss has a friend who is a tv and the BA worked at a company where someone did the same thing. We're not so rare after all. All of them were really great. At the end of the meeting the BA gave me a huge hug, so unexpected but so appreciated. The countdown has really started, I'm so excited and scared.
