Hair transplant experiences - any advice welcome

  As a girl born in the wrong body who has endured male puberty, I've suffered from male pattern baldness and have to rely on wigs. I'm looking at rectifying that with a transplant, so a few questions to those girls, or guys that have been through this

  1. Is it worth it?
  2. Should I wait until I'm on hormones?
  3. I've read about the downsides. How bad has it been?
  4. How good is it?
  5. Which clinic did you use?

  I deliberately didn't ask the cost, that depends on individual circumstances.

  I feel like this is one of those blogs that should go into a general recommendation page...
