My First Night Out!!

  Heya everyone! 

   

  I thought considering I am Hostessing the next Big Night Out which is Vincekent's 3rd event held in Manchester, I would share my first ever experience with you all! Enjoy!

   

  So, Where did it all start! It all started when I was as near as makes no difference a closet dresser. I started talking to Vince in the February of 2010. He was hosting his first ever Big Night Out (BNO) and asked me if I was going, I of course was verryy uneasy about going as I had not been out dressed as Sophie before and was unsure what the public eye would do or say should they see me. But after talking with Vince, he assured me, I would be in very safe hands and definitely have an excellent time, so I asked a friend and booked the hotel. I was still nervous at this point and still very unsure if I’d even attend.

   

  I continued to talk to Vince right up until the evening, asking him al sorts of questions such as, what to expect, where to go and even what to wear!! He was extremely helpful with everything I asked and made me feel really secure.

   

  So I finally arrive in Manchester, at the wrong train station and end up having to take a cab to the hotel where I was staying, not a perfect start but hey! I was seriously nervous!

  I arrived at the hotel, met up with my room mate and very shyly I got changed into Sophie for the 1st time ever in the public eye. What? no stakes? no burning bats? no mob? phew!!

  My room mate and I had a quick "settle down" drink and then booked the taxi to take us to the famous Canal Street! 

   

  When leaving the hotel I was shaking! I was walking so slowly and twitchy looking at everybody, then straight back at the floor, almost trying to hide myself, seriously expecting ridicule but no, there was nothing! Even the taxi driver said to us "where to ladies?" Yes! Ladies!! It seems like such a small thing now but I remember at the time I was over the moon!

   

  Now! This is the part of the blog what we've allll been waiting for! How was it when that taxi stopped on canal street?! 

  Well! let me tell you... absolutely sod all! Nothing! Nobody battered an eye lid at us, no rude gestures, no unpleasantness absolutely nothing! 

  From that point on, I was on top of the world! I can honestly say, I had the time of my life that evening! I met some lovely people, Vincekent was the ultimate host, I watched him make a special effort to talk to everyone that had attended and when it came to my turn I learnt just what a truly genuine nice guy he really is!

   

  So there we are! My First Ever Public appearance! Because I was blessed with such a perfect first experience I would really like to give you the same opportunity as I had!

  Myself and Vincekent are both Hosting the next Big Night Out in Manchester on the 9th of March 2013. Really hope to see you there and share a drink!!
