Well it's been awhile, as they say.  First thing is that despite my doctor saying they would refer me to the psych for onward referral in October - I have heard absolutely nothing since.  Good old NHS!  Which is possibly a bit of a blessing in disguise because, as I suspected, since Christmas (or not long after) the "urge" or whatever you want to call it subsided drastically, couldn't be bothered, wasn't interested, or maybe the fact that real life got in the way and the realisation that however much I thought I wanted to change the fact is that the obstacles were too many for ME personally to deal with, financially and otherwise.  It obviously won't be the same for everyone but for me Amie will be a part of, but not the main part of, life, and if the right circumstances are in place then maybe she will appear, as if by magic.  What those circumstances would have to be - who knows..  The good thing is this time I didn't purge - except for one pair of shoes! - so have lots of nice things to try and squeeze into, so if you'll excuse me I'm off to the gym followed by a lettuce sandwich.

    It's been... emotional
