Hello all
I have just watched all 6 episodes of Sky's Ladyboys series, not quite knowing what to expect (tacky sprung to mind) but I have to say it was very well done and quite eye-opening in places. Anyone with even a vague interest in Transsexualism is thoroughly recommended to have a look. Anyway one thing that popped up was a Thai businessman who had opened an airway actively and publicly employing (not totally exclusively) Ladyboys. One thought that sprung to mind was.. I wonder why other people don't do the same. My reasoning being.. it's quite clear that these girls want to be able to do a job they like in their chosen (female) role, they are prepared to work hard, look good and love what they are doing. Surely any other employers could take a lead from this - give your employees a chance to show what they can do, don't judge them just because they may not fit into a "stereotype" and see what the rewards can be. Of course this clearly must be a 2-way street....
Just my opinion! I know if given a chance to work in a female role occasionally in a "safe" environment I would give it a go, maybe even for free
Amie xx
