I was sat in a pub on friday night when a discusion betwen the girls got going. A memeber of our small group came out with this " your not a real t girl unless your going for surgery " . My inital reaction was one of shock , why so judgmental in this small group . Them i thought for a moment and thought hang on to me this is all wroung , For those who know me i live may be 5 days a week as a girl some times more some times less. I have no intension of having any surgery or treatment , so the following is just my veiw .
I dont think you can say to any one there not trans wheter there under NHS or not as to the stae of there mind and body , i belive that im a trans person who is happy with who i am . This means i can live as a girl any time for as long or as short as i wish , id love to go 24/7 and at the moment the only time i spend in male mode is whilst job huntting . Now if i cant find a job as a guy what chance have i as a girl .
This process of trying to pidgen hole us into boxes is very silly i think , The most important thing is are you as a person happy with who you are and what you are . I know t girl under Nhs who only dress for appointments at the gender clinic there only kidding them selves i think. As one day they will have to live the life they are pertending to live now . So back to the origanal question .
In my humble opion her coments were very wroung and not good for our small comunity being under the NHS system is not some badge to be worn our her sleve its a comitment for a life changing process . Not being under that system can be just the same in comitment so we are all the same im a transgender person very out very proud and very happy can all at the clinc say the same i wounder .
Im sure this will provoke some coments but openly discuss it and lets try not to be any thing other than we are .
