  Visit to Manchester Concord – Villagio’s Upper Bar  on 11 April 2012

  
  

  For many reasons I hadn’t been to M/C Concord this year, and certainly not to the new venue at Villagio’s upper bar in Canal Street.  As you can see from the picture it’s much warmer in atmosphere than NYNY, and there are lots of tables where you can sit and chat as well as a large bar area, where there are stools and lots of room to stand.....and chit chat. 

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

  Wonder why I started with the bar!!!!  As ever there is a very warm welcome from Mary Lunan – who always makes all girls – whether you are there for the first time or as a regular – really welcome.  And all girls get a pic taken which goes into Mary’s Blog - check out http://manchesterconcord.org.uk/mblog/maryblog1.htm

   

   

  Aside from the lovely room, which has a “mooi uitzicht” (a great view) over Canal Street there are also really good changing facilities.  There is a special lighted mirror – with room for at least 3 girls at the same time to apply their makeup, room to hang your coats and a large table to put your bag on whilst you are unpacking your clothes, wig and make up. 

   

  

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

  This is a big step forward from the facilities at NYNY and they are available from 5pm onwards, giving those of you who want to get changed there the opportunity to be ready before club night starts at 7pm.

   

  There is the possibility to either go downstairs and eat at Villagio’s or have a meal upstairs.  Many girls use M/C Concord as somewhere to start the evening and meet old and new friends.  I had a long chat with Sarah about the world, being TG and how to fit it into our lives – and we didn’t know each other before - as you can see from the pic we were having a good old chinwag..and imbibing some liquid refreshment. 

   

  

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

   

  So for all of you who have never been to M/C Concord – give it a try.  I know I will be back and will be there on 25^th with Jady, when the theme is pink and black.
