What is Trans Day of Visibility?
International Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV) is an annual event occurring on March 31st each year. The day is dedicated to celebrating trans people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by trans people worldwide. The holiday was founded to celebrate trans people following the frustration from members of the trans community that the only well-known trans-centered event each year was the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) which is a time to mourn the loss of transgender people to hate crimes. Trans Day of Visibility is a time to focus on the positive elements of trans people’s lives.
How can I get involved?
Download our Social Media Pack here for guidance of how to support TDOV and promote it amongst your friends and colleagues.
Whats happening across Greater Manchester?

In February 2016 Greater Manchester Police and TransForum launched the Transphobic Hate Crime Report - the result of over two years collaboration between GMP, TransForum and the GMP Pride Network + input from a Sparkle Workshop in 2015.

Together across Greater Manchester there are people working towards better outcomes and a safer region for all trans people.
