I was listening to Radio Manchester this afternoon (19 May 2015) and they were interviewing 3 people - two of the "stars" and the originator/director/producer of the series. Its called Queer Street as its about Canal Street in Manchester'sgay village,the titelwas inspired by Queer as Folk.
From what I can gather its about people who live around Manchester and go to the Village for fun or who work there. I got the impression that its a very positive programme.
Two people are interviewed in each programme,and they are noping to be able to get BBC 3 to buy it soon to screen it in the UK. It will be screened in Europe and Canada from 1st June 2015.

Queer Street is a documentary series which follows the lives of some of the characters that reside on Manchester's famous Queer Street, Canal Street. The series broadcasts 1st June 2015 in Canada, Netherlands, Sweden and a whole host of other Countries. It will also broadcast in the UK and USA / Australia later in the year however the broadcaster is being kept under wraps for the time being.
With the cancellation of HBO's Looking, is Queer Street our new fix of gay TV?
