Soft Skin and Developing Contours

This entry is about my body - Normally when I look at my body I say eeeeeeeeeeeeeek!!!  It is not and has not been something that I have ever really been comfortable with.

I never wanted to muscle up- I was ok about being tall but when I started swimming I lost a lot of weight but also seemed to create a load of muscle - which I seem not to be able to rid myself of.

So I was in the bath tonight- totally relaxing- proper pamper aromatic candles the lot- it was simply gorgeous- and the beautiful skin care essences I had put in the bath too and then I noticed for the first time ever that my skin after exfoliation (which simply consisted of me rubbing the dead skin off) was silky smooth- this is one of the most obvious and rapidly apparent indicators that the hormones are working.

The shape of my body is now changing too- my chest / pectorals were always very tight- it was very difficult to create any cleveage unless I used 2 bras and the twisted strap trick (you may or may not know about it) I have definitely got an A cupof my very own now so it is probably time to get one of those bras I featured on here before.

It is also time that I decide to lose weight and get back to eating more healthily- and Istarted that today. Transition is so much about feeling good in yourself, and perhaps also to others, believing in who you can be, and understanding and loving yourself-  accepting what you may have regarded as faults as lovable characteristics within yourself- and never berating the feminine and apparently illogical tendencies you have always had which have now found themselves re inforced by the hormones

Whilst I was in the bath I had the chance to reflect on my most recent relationship - and   and came to a decision - to thank her for playing her part in making sure I never ever go back again!!!!! Whilst acknowledging that what we had even for a very short time was real to us both and that there is loss in our parting - wow is that mature or what????

So hugggzzzz to everyone I will update about the weeks adventures in a separate blog

    xoxo

  • Julie Hawkwood Even for the non-hormonal, looking after yourself makes a HUGE difference! Exfoliating (with vigour) and moisturising your body makes a big difference. I moisturise my face to death and it makes a big difference, makeup feels better and less caked....  more
  • Deleted Member It's wonderful you are becoming happier and I also hear you regarding the separation. People come in and out of our lives. That's part of life. Your turning into the woman you're meant to be.Some will stay and some will go. Those worth it and more...  more
