The Girl in the Suitcase

The girl picks up her suitcase,

    She drives to a hotel.

    This journey she is travelling,

A route she knows so well.

A road she has but travelled,

    Of one she is aware.

    That all familiar journey.

The one she can not share.

The girl checks in her suitcase,

    Into her lonely room.

    But when that suitcase opens,

    She knows that very soon.

    Her fantasies , her desires,

Will be what she will do.

That feeling she’s been hiding ,

To be so free and true.

    The girl unpacks the suitcase,

And in there she will find,

A life she truly wants to live.

    If only in her mind.

All she ever wants to be,

    Now lies on the bed.

It’s the freedom that she needs,

    If only in her head.

The girl, she lives that suitcase,

It cuts just like a knife.

An existence that is so carefree.

    A different kind of life.

And now it is all open,

    It’s secrets she will share.

Make up, nails and hold ups,

    Her lovely long dark hair.

The girl packs up her suitcase.

    She leaves her hotel room.

In her heart , she has that hope,

That she will be back soon.

    She checked into that hotel,

    A woman, true and free.

But now she leaves and then goes back,

    To being him, not she.
