New Features and Theme

  Well it’s been a little while since I posted here – thankfully Pauline has been her normal awesome self and kept everything in order (thank-you Pauline!).

   

  Anyway, why the blog? Well I sometimes blog before we have a few changes to the site (having said that the last one wasn’t for nearly a year)… so here goes.

   

  Moderated/Safe Feed vs Normal Feed

   

  One of the things I love about Transtastic is that it is here for everyone. We introduced the Moderated feed for people that wanted to try and avoid the more adult side of our community. Most of the time this works really well, sometimes, the odd thing slips through. But we’ve just tightened up the moderated feed by removing any references to the adult forums, or people posting on the main feed when they have their “Wall Album” marked as adult.

   

  It’s fine to put adult things on the site – many, many of you really like it, so all we ask if that you use the appropriate ratings for Albums and Videos – and use the Adult forums. There is nothing wrong with good healthy adult conversation and images  – but when it get’s quite pornographic please just consider where you are posting it.

   

  New Theme

   

  We’re trying out a new theme for the site – a little more modern and brighter. There are a few tweakes required but we’d love your feedback. If you want to try it out use the widget on the left panel, right at the bottom.

   

  I think it’s a cleaner, more fun theme for the site and I hope you do too – we’ll be putting it live over the next couple of weeks with a couple of new features (see below).

   

  Requests (Album, Friends etc.)

   

  Sometimes you get a large number of ‘request’ to visit new albums, make new friends, see videos etc. – this can get a little much to go through them all. So we’re building a feature to enable you to accept or ignore things. This should speed up the process and help you use the site better.
